Welcome to my blog. It’s good to meet you.
If you are reading this, you’re likely ready to get started with a surrogate or a donor or even both. You may have a timeline in mind, and want to know if it’s realistic. You have choices to make, and you want to make the right ones the first time. You have questions, some legal and some practical, and you need answers.
I’ve been working in the field of fertility since 1991, and I practice in that field exclusively. Most of my days are spent working with intended parents who need the help of a surrogate or a donor.
As a lawyer, I do all things legal, but I’ve also immersed myself in your world. I love the science and the research, and I’m constantly on the watch for the clinic that does things just a bit better, or the agency that manages to help you without pressuring you. I read all the cases and interact with other lawyers doing what I do all over the world, but also get excited about new programs and donor databases.
Here, in this blog, I intend to share the things that I’ve learned over the last 20-something years, and over 2,000 surrogacy agreements. I look forward to sharing those lessons with you so that your journey can be everything you hope it can be. I’ll be writing about how to find a surrogate or choose an agency or even what questions to ask when you’re having a cup of coffee with a woman who might become your surrogate. I want to help you make good decisions each step of the way.
In a perfect world, we would sit down, face to face, and chat about where you are, how you got there, and where you would like to be. We would talk about the law, but also about choices and best practices, and I could help answer your questions and point you in the right direction. Until we can meet in person, let me create a virtual boardroom where the written word becomes the conversation.
I hope you find this blog helpful and I look forward to meeting you soon.
Congratulations Sherry on your new blog! We will be sure to share it with our followers!
Thanks for the good wishes, Gloria!
