As a pioneer in the field of third party reproductive law, Sherry Levitan is recognized as the leading surrogacy and fertility lawyer in Canada.
Sherry graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1984 and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1986. She has been working in surrogacy and fertility law since 1991, and her practice now is exclusively devoted to this area.
Having acted on thousands of surrogacy agreements and more than 1,000 egg donation agreements, Sherry feels privileged to have helped thousands of couples create the family they had always dreamed of.

Sherry was a director of Fertility Matters (formerly known as IAAC, the Infertility Awareness Association of Canada) a national not for profit advocacy group committed to providing educational material, support and assistance to individuals and couples who are experiencing infertility, and served for seven years on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society (CFAS).
Sherry is also legal counsel to several pre-eminent Canadian infertility clinics and has been invited to testify before the federal Standing Committee of Health, and to participate in the development of guidelines by the Federal Ministry of Health for the practice of third party reproduction.
